About Margaret River
The Margaret River Wine Region
Tucked away in the south-west corner of Western Australia, Margaret River is one of the premier wine-growing regions of the world.
Wulura is in the Yallingup subregion within the greater Margaret River area. The free-draining lateritic gravelly loam soils and cool Mediterranean climate freshened by afternoon sea breezes have made this an ideal place for growing premium wine grapes.
The climate allows for slow ripening periods that are perfect for building flavour and intensity in the grapes across a whole range of different varieties.
Margaret River is one of the world’s most diverse wine regions, producing high class wines from Bordeaux varieties such as cabernet sauvignon, semillon and sauvignon blanc to the Burgundy variety chardonnay.
Clean, green and healthy
Wine is rich in antioxidants and, when consumed in moderation, is considered to have health benefits as part of a balanced diet. Margaret River’s remote location, unpolluted environment, fine natural produce and meticulous winemaking techniques create wines that are proudly clean and green.
